A Basement Find

This bike has been sitting in a basement of a small village house since the mid seventies.Complete original and only one owner before me.It even has most of its original tool kit and first aid kit.A real time capsule.Under the magneto cover everything was as good as new.

 Damn you basement moisture!

Jawa 350 Polishing job

A friend of mine is working on Jawa 350 from 1968. I helped him with some aluminum polishing.

Polished edges of the smoothly sandblasted carburetor cover.

Almost finished front brake cover.Again for high contrast, sandblasted in the middle.

BMW R25/3 gearbox cover

These days I have been working on a gearbox cover for BMW R25/3. The owner wants his engine polished, so the factory casting has to be smoothed first. Most of it by hand.

Tail Light

This piece of history is going to become my bobber tail light. It is a license plate light from old Volga GAZ 21.

The White EMW R35

For the past several weeks I have been working on this beautiful EMW R35 produced in 1954.
Did the electric system from scratch and happily it works.

We had a problem with the oil pump, so the bike had to lie down for a while.

Finally it is ready to roll!

Hillbilly Rat Rod

Evgeni, a friend of mine, has been building and rebuilding an insane machine for several years now.
It is an early 80's Moskvitch 2140.
At the moment it is equipped with Ford 5 speed gearbox, Airesearch T3 turbine, VW Passat 1.8 mono injection and many more!

Stay in touch!

The Very Beginning

Here it is the beginning. Awo Touren built in East Germany in 1957.It looked like this back in the days.

But this was what I found a couple of years ago. Almost a barn find.

This machine is too far from its original state, so I am going to rebuild it as a vintage bobber. Here I am, waiting for the better days of my Awo Touren.

Stay close much more to come!
